Common FAQs
1. Delivery Time?
1130am to 230pm. We may not have control over the exact delivery timing as traffic circumstances vary from time to time. When a delivery order is place online, the collection time for the driver to pick up the food will be minus one hour. You can opt for self collection by letting us know when you wish to collect and we'll try our best to accommodate. You can also arrange your own delivery too.
2. Where is the Self Collection Address?
We are at Block 74 Upper Serangoon View, Kingsford Waterbay Condominium, Singapore 533881. Once the order is confirmed, we'll send you the unit number to collect the donburis. Do Whatsapp 9682-9886, to let us know what time you are coming to collect. We seek your understanding that replies may be delayed when we are busy with orders. You may come up directly to the collection point at your stated timing.
3. Can I eat at your place?
Sure! Do note that our dining area is quite small, and can only accommodate up to 6 pax at one time. You can enjoy the river views while having your meal here. Remember to clean up the eating area after your meal! Currently, dine-in service is only for lunch. We'll recommend dine-in customers to come after 1pm. It is because we'll be working on the delivery and self collection orders between 1130am and 1230pm. After that, we'll have time to clean up the space for dine-in lunch service.
4. Why do I need to Pre-order 2 days in advance?
We buy our ingredients fresh and will need to buy just enough for the day's order. This helps us not waste food and also keeps our operations costs lower. We'll need at least 6 hours to brine and marinate our fresh pork cheeks, collar, and belly for optimal flavour.
5. Changes in the delivery address
If you are ordering via BlockChef, do inform them immediately should there be a change in the delivery address.
6. Changes in the order
Do Whatsapp 96829886 with your order number if you need to add more menu items or change your order. If it is still in time, we can update the order. We may not be able to change your order if it has aready been prepared.
7. Any Food Handling Certificate?
Yes. Our chef is WSQ Food Hygience Level 1 certified.
8. How long can I keep the food in the fridge?
We suggest that the cooked food is best consumed within four (4) hours after preparation. Consuming beyond four (4) hours will be at your own risk. In the event that you do not wish to eat the food immediately, you might want to chill it in the fridge and then re-heat it, all within the same day.
9. What does your donburi consists of?
All donburis consist of 1 main, chimichurri sauce, bamboo rice, bok choy, miso soup, nori (seaweed), and you will get to choose 2 free side dishes. We will also provide spring onion for customers who order Shogayaki (Ginger Pork) donburi. For Happy Veggie Don, we will cook separately a vegetarian bamboo rice and soup.
10. Do you have menu item for vegetarians?
Yes, we have. However, please note that our vegetarian donburis are cooked in the same cooking facility as our non-vegetarian donburis. We take care to ensure our vegetarian donburis do not contain any meat or egg products. For the vegetarian bamboo rice, we will not add dashi as it contains bonito. Moreover, we will also make a vegetarian soup to complement the donburi.
11. Do you have a daily quota of donburis?
Yes, we have. To maintain quality consistency and food safety, we set a quota of donburi orders each day. If the quota is exceeded, we may not accept any new orders for the particular date. We will work harder to expand our facility and team so that we can increase our production while maintain our highest standard and food quality.
12. Do you accept group buys?
Yes, we do. However, we may still have to abide to our daily quota so as to keep our food quality consistent. Therefore, we suggest to group buy customers to pre-order at least 3 days in advance. Thank you so much for your understanding.
