Our pork jowl is meticulously prepared in 5 unique steps: brining, marinating, pan-searing, flame-torched, and USA green apple wood-smoking. This maximises its flavour potential. Each spoonful is full of umami goodness! When paired with our moreish homemade bamboo rice and zesty chimichurri green sauce, you will find each mouthful a delight. Customers may choose 2 sides from our varied menu. There are 2 other donburi options too. All donburis comes with miso, bok choy, and nori! Enjoy a bowl today!

豚の生姜焼き丼
Shogayaki (Ginger Pork Collar) Donburi 豚の生姜焼き丼, is a popular Japanese comfort food. A generous serving of juicy pork collar goes into each bowl. The grilled pork collar is also coated with savoury homemade ginger soy sauce. Thus, adding umami over umami. Our Shogayaki Don is also very popular among our regular Japanese customers!

Designed with joy in mind, Happy Veggie Don is the perfect choice for sharing with your vegetarian friends and colleagues. 🌱 Featuring soy-braised tofu cutlets, vegetarian bamboo rice, smoky grilled cauliflower florets, and two free sides. With our homemade Chimichurri sauce, this donburi is sure to bring a smile to your face with every bite!
楊貴妃チャーシュー丼
The Yang Gui Fei Char Siu donburi is made with roasted char siew pork jowl. Yang Gui Fei is renowned as one of the four beauties of ancient China. She was known for her plump figure and smooth white tender skin. Three characteristics of Yang Gui Fei Char Siu are its fat-meat dual layer, its smooth white tender meat, and its ‘char grilled’ edges. Served with homemade plum ponzu sauce. Limited quantity per day!

Vegetable Sides
Customers will get to choose two out of the four vegetable sides.
They are (clockwise from top left):
1. Pan Seared 'Scallop' King Oyster Mushroom
2. Pan Seared Nagaimo (Mountain Yam).
3. Zen Salad in Sichuan Peppercorn Vinegarette Kinpara Renkon (Sesame Lotus Root).
4. Kinpara Renkon (Sesame Lotus Root).
The bamboo rice is infused with the umami-rich flavours of dashi. We use young bamboo shoots, which imparts a subtle earthy taste to the rice and adds a slight acidity to meat, thus balancing the flavour of our donburi to its optimal level. The addition of tau pok (deep fried tofu puff) adds a delightful textural contrast to the dish, making it a truly special and aromatic experience.
Our Chimichurri sauce is made with a combination of roasted green chili, green herbs, citrus zest, juice, extra-virgin olive oil, and vegetables - this sauce is a perfect balance of tangy, herbaceous, and a slight spicy kick. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats. You can also pour it over the donburi's rice. The bright and zesty notes of this chimichurri sauce will elevate any dish to new levels of deliciousness.

I ordered the Signature Cheeky Don and it was an amazing dish. The bowl consisted of tender slices of succulent pork, perfectly charred and infused with a rich smoky flavor, adorning a bed of fluffy rice. The sight alone was enough to make my mouth water. I have been wanting to try Cheeky Don after my neighbour gave raving reviews about it. Finally, I got a chance to try the vegetarian don today and it was delish! Loved the cauliflowers and the mushrooms that were lightly grilled to bring out a lovely smoky flavour. The zen salad was also nicely sprinkled with a light but appetising dressing. It was worth every cent for the set that came with a cup of soup too. I will be back to try their signature cheeky don pork set!

Our Founder
Jacky Tan is a self-taught chef with a foundation in French and fusion-style cuisine. His journey in cooking began when he researched receipes to cook for his beloved wife, who is a finicky eater. Then a passion for cooking kicked in, and he started to seriously upskill his craft by learning from professional chefs' recipe books, in particular the 'Institut Paul Bocuse Gastronomique' and 'The Flavor Bible'. Jacky is also a food content creator, regularly uploading video recipes for unique food creations on Instagram. Jacky believes that a good chef is humble, has the right attitude, and is learning to improve. And last but not least, he hopes to always bring joy to people with his food!
